Hard crash when deleting warehouse units connected to a now-deleted firm

Post by _white_ »

There is a circumstantial but reproducible hard crash I have ran into when managing my warehouses. When attempting to replace (ie quickly reset) Input units of a warehouse floor that already has previously used input units connected to a now-deleted firm, the game will produce a hard crash when clicking Ok to replace the units with the template. There is no exception popup and it happens even if I unpause the game and give it time to recognize the broken supply chain before I touch the warehouse units. Upon clicking Ok the game also produces a brief but loud fragment of it's gong-like alarm sound before it crashes, as if it was trying to give me multiple warnings at the same moment.

In order to reproduce this in the attached save you can take my "EXT 1 WAR Allp Cleaner" Warehouse firm as a basis. Each of its floors are supplied by a separate factory, "EXT 1/2/3 FAC Allp Cleaner". If you demolish one of these factories -> go to the warehouse floor that was supplied by it -> open the layout plan library and reapply a custom layout (which is the same as the active one) then you should run into the crash when confirming the replacement. This happens in all similar setups, does not seem to be limited to a specific firm.

Hi David,

I'm not sure if this is a bug so I figured I'd just ask here, in the save above I have one of my subs, Imperia Apparel set to maximize market share, yet on the product screen I can see all the sliders in a neutral position. Is this a bug, or those sliders are meaningless until I enable them?
