Disabling expertise for characters.

If you turn off the expertise of all classes of products, then the competition in some of them increases and there may be five or more companies per product, which adds interest to the game.

But at the same time, several negative factors arise.
AI builds research facilities but does short research (maximum 5 years).

AI companies cannot open a new product, neither smartphone nor other products will be discovered or produced. Also, there is no obsolescence of products over time, which should become obsolete and be replaced.
Companies focused on Stocks over time do not switch to focus All.

I tried adding a few jeans and other products and with the expertise included, it worked, but there was a maximum of 3 companies competing and not for long. Usually this led to the fact that there was only one company that could not cover all the demand on its own.

Is it as it should be that AI characters without expertise cannot research new products?
