I'm confused. I have a lemon farm right next to my factory that makes citric acid. The lemons are sold for 65 cents, factory is only 7km away the cost+freight is showing as 65c+1c
Yet the overall total cost in the factory when I'm on the selling tab is $6.58
How? Considering purchasing and transport is so cheap, why is it costing so much?

Thats because you need 10lbs of lemon to produce 1lb of citric acid.
so, the cost is 65cents x 10 = $6.50
the 1c freight must be .08cents, and its rounded do 1c. so, 8cents for the 10 lemons.

Unfortunately, they screwed up a lot of the semi products. The expected profit of citric acid, coconut oil, corn syrup, dyestuff, flour, linen, polyester, textiles, and wheat germ oil are all negative. As tribeiro explained, it takes 10 lemons to produce 1 unit of citric acid. But citric acid has a base price of only $1, so nobody will want to buy it if you sell it at $7.
