Just a few queries please

Post by carpii »

Hi,

There's a few things I don't understand about CAP (some are not specific to Cap Lab, some are).

1) When inflation is set to 'inverse', is this just constant deflation, or something else?

2) What is the purpose of the inventory dept? I guess its to smooth out interruptions in supply, but it doesn't seem to have much value since interruptions are either fixed quickly, or you have to change product after a little while anyway.
I also noticed that an inventory dept actually holds less stock than a purchasing dept, so it seems like just adding a new purchasing dept would allow a bigger buffer?

3) I'm liking the new private challenge feature. But after creating a private challenge, I often want to play it through to make sure its as challenging as I thought it would be.
Because its a challenge game, it saves every year (and maybe uploads something?). Either way, the app locks up the app for a few seconds, which is kinda frustrating and doesn't happen for normal auto-saves. Is there any way to disable this when playing a challenge games?

4) How do I improve the quality of products like frozen chicken? Is it just down to staff training in the factory?

5) Not really a question, but I cant wait for the scripting feature to be added. This will add a whole new dimension to the challenges.
Id also love to see an option so that arrow keys scroll around the map (how CAP 2 and CAP 1 used to work), instead of switching cities or having to hold down ALT. Or failing that, maybe W A S D could be used as alternative map scroll keys

Thanks for anyone who can help

IMHO, they are useful only for warehousing.

Training farm employees is one way. Another is hiring a COO with farming expertise - level of farm units (crop growing, livestock raising, processing and sales) will increase +1 for every 20 points of farming expertise.
