City Economic Simulation DLC:Turn off the restriction.

Post by ALICE »

I want an option to turn off this setting.I want to develop a city together with many AI companies.

The maximum number of AI companies is limited to 20 to simulate the fact that when a nation is in its infancy, not too many companies are willing to make investments in it.
Seaports are not available, and the player must make efforts to build up supply chains of raw materials and semi products that are essential for production of consumer goods, which is part of the challenge in this DLC.

FYI, these restrictions are only present in the Survival mode in the City Economic Simulation DLC. If you turn off the Survival mode, there will be no restrictions on these.

If the “Developed City at the Beginning” setting could be used with Survival Mode turned off, it might open up new ways to play. In that case, this proposal would no longer be necessary.

When Survival mode is disabled, actually all cities are developed in the beginning of the game.

Yes, that’s exactly how I see it. I hope that someday we’ll be able to develop on completely untouched land, with many companies involved.

FYI, since it is Survival mode, meaning that it will be hard for the player's city and company to survive, thus the number of companies capable of investing in the city is limited.

Yes, that’s right. I think that would be good for Survival Mode.

However, I would like to play on a brand-new piece of land with the usual settings.
If either “Remove Survival Mode restrictions” or “Developed City at the Beginning appears with Survival turned off” were available, it would solve the problem.

This is for a niche style of play, and I think only a small number of users would actually need it.

I have a suggestion: you can start a new game with just one city, then build a new city to develop it yourself. This way, there will be no limits to the number of AI competitors and seaports.
