Even with 50 companies and 10 cities, they can still be covered by the 87 persons.
In my save, it is, but if I load cantdownloadit's save first, and restart with his exact setting, the number of persons dropped to just 30. Somehow loading a previous save, affects what the next new game generated.

I'll try, but that will take a while, need to generate quite the income to beat established cities' mayor. And waiting till the election years. And the core issue is that when I form my own party, I can not choose which party members I get, they are randomly assigned, and they may not lived in the city I liked to have influence. With 7 cities, and if the initial party members all belong to the same city, and if unlucky and not get the right candidates, I might need to win every time one city after another new city, and never lose a battle once elected, and still could take 24 years in minimum to get to the right city I want to have influence. In practice this might take like half a century to a century. Which is a really long time.

BTW. how to assign a member to run for mayor for another city when its not his/her hometown?

What did you mean by " the number of persons dropped to just 30" ? Did you mean only 30 corporations were generated, or the number of persons you saw in the Person report?

Saved game some time later as requested.

If you check I have 10 cities set, but political parties only lists 5 members as mayors.

Also the AI party never ever adds to election funds, they just use it then ignore it.

I have Number of AI Persons=50 set in the start script, but as you can see there's only something like 29 + me - 10 as mayors and 19 as company owners so where are the other 20 ? (yeah I know its a lot of subsidiaries heh)

(the lack of 50 persons appearing when its set in start script happens with subsidiary dlc as well - and presumably base game)

In cantdownloadit save. Or load and then restart, check the Persons screen. Instead of 87, only 30 persons exist.

I forget I can focus on election, instead of running business, and fast forward. And indeed if unlucky like I am, new party members might still live in the same city, thus in practice will take like decades to centuries to roll the right party member to the city I want to have influence (might even never).

Your script seems to have effect on the next new game. It's very weird. And have you try not set number of AI persons?

I don't use any script, and it generates the correct amount of 87 persons.

Our programmer has located the bug and the fix will be available in the next patch v4.2.05.

also the game gives you the goal to establish a new city, even if you start with 10 cities are are unable to establish another one

taking the no. of AI person line out makes no change, I still only get 30 AI people with my 9 AI companies 10 city start.

We will try to address this issue in the next patch by allowing the player to relocate a party member to another city.
