Not impressed . I don't need a accomplishment feature would rather you work on something more decent like a way to separate the company into divisions .

Seems to be part of "beautifying" the game (better graphics/images)...besides we never know this could be a piece of a new feature.

Like who really cares about graphics when hard core players of Capitalism since 2001 want better game play not pretty graphics or Accomplishments. I think its time we got something more I would even be willing to put down $50 USD to get something done about this. Like they are a original game why pretty it up like all the other tycoon games out there with less decent game play. You would think graphic and accomplishments and challenge games would be the last thing they would work on but no that's the first thing. Someone with a brain would expand the experience of the game and morph it in to a beautiful creature. Like YES they have expanded abit in game play but yet it leaves us hanging its a huge disappointment.

Actually the development for the CapLab expansion pack is underway. For those interested, you may check out their progresses in the following posts:

http://www.capitalismlab.com/forum/view ... 2&start=10

(work-in-progress screenshots can be viewed in the first two posts)

While we are going to release the new Accomplishment game feature, it is also true that we are at the same time working on radically new features like the above posts described, which will take longer time to design, implement, test as well as creating the AI for the new features, and balancing the gameplay.

it's more difficult to show game mechanics features than new UI/graphics features. Personally I don't mind improvements on both fronts, as long as they are in progress, not on hold.

As for Challenge game features, it's mechanics needed to be improved anyway. Not just with UI/graphics, but also the script system and the scope of customization, even how scores are calculated (like customizable scoring equation, and all kinds of different goals). Goals don't even need to be numerical, but other quantitative quality, like total trained levels combined of all firms reached 1000, average goods quality > 90, or holding stocks dominate all competitions, etc, these are many goals can be added and allowed to be customized. Initial setup can also be improved, like the pure retailer challenge, or wholesalers challenge I'm planning, can't be scripted with current challenge game mechanics. These features will take some heavy works in programming, and the result should look like some sort of scenario editor.

So funny story, a few weeks back I saw one of these posts and downloaded the latest version of the game to find the screens and I wondered why I couldn't find those screens. *silly me*

Looks terrific. Just hoped the exp packs are priced correctly, and when will they stop bundling other games with Capitalism Lab and just ask for $20 on its own standing?
