Chief Operating Officer Pricing BUG?

Post by Detailzmi »

Hello, My COO doesnt change the prices. Im running the latest version of the game and patch. If I set pricing to "Normal" and the distributor increases the cost above my selling price it remains below the cost. Isnt my COO suppose to fix this? It could get pretty demanding owning 400 Department stores and changing prices 4 times per store. Thank you for the help!

Could you provide me with your save game via Dropbox and let me know the steps for triggering the bug with the save game?

You may check out this post about how to send saved games via Dropbox:

It could be quite difficult to pinpoint it giving the circumstances of the game. Maybe I can clear it up better.

1) MY retail store buys products from Computer supplier/Competitor
2) The Supplier gradually increases the cost of the product over time.
3) Eventually MY sales price is lower than purchase price causing me to lose money on items sold.
4) With a COO and pricing set to Normal/Aggressive/Very Aggressive the COO does not manage pricing in stores.

It appears the COO doesn't do anything as far as price management.
I will provide a Save Game later on today.

Thank you very much

Did you enable the setting "Never sell products below costs" on the COO management policies screen?

Also, please make sure that 1) the product is not having a price agreement and 2) your COO is assigned to manage that store.

And the COO adjusts prices every 15 days, so there may be a brief period of time where the COO's adjustments lag behind the supplier's price changes.

If the problem persists, please provide a save game for investigation.

I was not setting the COO to control the firms. I figured that out tho and everything seems to be working properly. Thank you very much for your help!

I absolutely love this game!
