Interface Improvement Suggestions
Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
It would be nice if we could change the duration of a research without first terminating it.

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
When acquiring a technology from other companies, there should be a way to sort the list by alphabetic order. For example:
Apparel
Beverage
Cosmetics
Drugs...
Sometimes I Want to see the technology only for drugs products but I need to find them one by one on the list.
By the way, I think better sorting methods could be applied in many cases in this game.

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
I would like to be able to change text color if possible. Mainly the minimap buttons to white. I wouldn't mind being able to change the gold colored rectangle buttons as well.

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
1. Can you enable "Relocate firm" for other cities? It saves a lot of clicking.
2. In the "Product Details" screen the "Apply price to all" used to have a shortcut (the "A" key). Can we have that back please!

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
Which key would you suggest? Most keys are used actually. The current shortcut key list: https://www.capitalismlab.com/shortcut-keys/

Z would be pretty comfortable for such contextual actions.David wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 1:32 pmWhich key would you suggest? Most keys are used actually. The current shortcut key list: https://www.capitalismlab.com/shortcut-keys/
I'd also suggest it for "Relocate and demolish" (currently ctrl+x) and then, when that window opens
for "Duplicate firm" when it's a normal building or
for "Duplicate in mall" when it is a mall store.
That would make the most common actions very fast.

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
Only because you guys are already halfway there..... Giving the factory product container (window display) it's own background image could look pretty cool. I don't even know where the R&D one is but anyway...

Re: Interface Improvement Suggestions
Subject: Feature Idea: Creating a Market Index like the S&P 500
Hey David,
I have a suggestion for the stock market part of the simulation. Would it be possible to create a general market index that reflects the overall state of the market, just like the S&P 500?
I think it would add a lot of value and be very "eye-opening" for the players. I feel like it would make a great surprise for Version 13! Let me know what you think.
Don't you think this is a good idea? A huge number of players love the stock market feature in the game. Don't they check the overall index when picking stocks, exactly like they would in real life? Or am I just the only one craving this?
