In this context a negative value just means the value of the shares you have sold is more than you paid for all the shares (including those you still have)

How can the concept that you said possible reality ??
Costs is " the costs ", right ?
so, in your concept, the cost directly become asset, and no more costs ?? :?:
Then, no where to display costs anymore...?

the cost isnt the asset, the asset is the current value of stocks,
the displayed cost is just to have a clue what you paid for the stocks in total that way you have a clue about your stocks performance

I still wanna see the real average costs not just net average costs.
anyway, at least I understand how it works now,
thanks.

ps. If any accountant only show like this to me, then the person has a big chance to get fired.

ofc i also want to see the real average costs thats why i never delete the stocks history, which are true in this history for any stocks bought on the stockmarket from the so called public shareholders, and direct trades off stocks with named stockholder or any shares received by IPOs are not considered in the history, thats the point where i use spreadsheets to record those trades.

yeah, that's a good way to do that.
But how about we have a simple formula to calculate for player ?
so, we can make player focus on management,
not just spend lots of energy on accounting ?
especially, if when a player who is working hard tries to analyze the stock market for greater opportunities ?
