Reset Game Settings does not reset several different game settings

Post by Stylesjl »

I have done some testing and I have noted that when you click the reset button for the game settings the following game settings are NOT reset (they remain the same as before).

Environment
- Retail Store Floors
- Retail Store Type (if you turn off the CES DLC, note this setting remains stuck even if you re-enable the DLC as well)
- Subsidiaries

Competitors
- Private Companies %

Digital Age DLC
- Talent System
- More Talents

Banking and Finance DLC
- Realistic Money Supply
- Venture Capitalists
- Acquire Companies Facing Bankruptcy
- Warehouse Floors

Products
- Product Customization

Another observation. When you switch Global Stock Market = Off the Global Stock Market options are not hidden:

Thanks for testing it.

In the next version 10.0.13, the options in your list will be reset, except:

- Retail Store Floors
- Retail Store Type
- Warehouse Floors
- Product Customization

Because most people would play with them enabled and they don't affect the difficulty rating. It is better to keep them as they are to save people time from setting them, then switching them on again.

And the default setting of the following options will be changed to Yes:
- Acquire Companies Facing Bankruptcy

This is fixed now.

These are fixed now.

In the case of this setting though:

- Retail Store Floors

The main reason I noticed in the first place is that when I tried playing the in-game scenarios it would set the Retail Store Floors to single instead of multiple (as multi-floors don't exist in the base game). I mean I guess that isn't a problem that comes up all that often, but it is something I noticed while playing around with the scripts and not realising why it was reverting to single floors even after resetting the settings.

All the other exceptions (Store Type, Warehouse, Customization) are fine though.
