It's a layout to produce two different product. Sometimes I don't see the point of those pre-defined layouts so I don't use them.
I set up factory units by clicking this. If my memory doesn't fail me, this is a new way that added in a previous release for doing this.

The glass in this layout plan is for producing perfumes.

i read it as the query was the fact the template set up has links that are not needed... eg feeding the glass into the engine as well.
