Multiple Screens: Screen Resolution Wrong / Unplayable

Hey,

I have 3 monitors, of which one is 4K.

When I play the game on 4K, it messes up all kind of resolutions and renders large parts of the screen black.

When I play it on the 1920x1080 monitors, it seems to render it actually 1600x900 and with 1/3 of the screen being still black.

"Fullscreen" and "borderless fullscreen" are the same. Even the "windowed fullscreen" renders it with the wrong resolutions: even if you select 1920x1080 on a 1920x1080 monitor, the screen renders it smaller and with the black area but tells you in the settings that it is 1920x1080 which it is not, of course.

Capitalism 2 is doing fine in this regard, by the way.

Do you struggle with multiple screens?

Edit: I've found a workaround which is indicating that you might be reading the screen resolutions from a wrong API place. It works with all screens, if you have multiple screens, and it does not occur on single monitor system (i.e. notebooks).

- Say, you have 2 monitors. First is 3960x2160, second is 1920x1080. The first has set "change text, apps and other items" (under Windows > Settings > Display > Scale and Layout) to 150 %, the second to 100 %.

- Say, you want to play CapLabs at 1920x1080 with 100 % text size on one of the screens. It shows parts of the screen as black, as described above. It becomes weird and even crashes sometimes.

- How to fix this? You switch to 1920x1080 on one of the screens (whether it is the 4K or not, it doesn't matter) but you must set the text size to 150 % (which is weird and wrong because actually it should 100 % and 1920x1080). But only then CapLabs shows it properly as "1920x1080" without the black areas. Without the 150 % setting, CapLabs is unable to render it properly and shows those black areas on every screen.

Therefore, I assume that you seem to be accessing some outdated Windows screen resolution API that has changed in the meantime due to the popularity of 4K monitors, but also because of multiple screen setups.
