Might be a pricing bug / maybe it's me

Post by Tobbesson »

Hi!

I recently encountered a problem which I have never had in Capitalism. Everytime I set up a new product within my retail stores the price is abnormal. Either it starts at below the cost of aquiring the product or it's ridiculously overpriced (as in the picture). This is not a big problem, but it gets tedious to manually lower the price of the product to a reasonable price for every product in every city.

I am playing with RealWorld mod, but I have modded the game further. It might be my own fault or (hopefully) something simple that will change this back to normal. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Is it just this save game that is bugged/broken or something else (hopefully a simple switch or button to push)? :D

We will investigate the problem.

Could you please provide us with your save game file and let us know the following?
1) Which version of Capitalism Lab you are using. You can see the version number on the top-right of the main menu.
2) The exact steps for triggering the bug with the save game
3) If your savegame uses a MOD, please let us know the name of the MOD and the MOD's version number.

You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from the C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\SAVE

You may provide us with your save game file by posting it here on the forum as a ZIP file attachment or emailing the save game file to us at info@enlight.com.

If your save game file is too large for attachment, you may check out this post about how to send us large files: https://www.enlight.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2473

Hello!

Ok, let's try to send it. :) But as I said, I have added products so you would need the modded file.

Version: 6.9.04

The files are too big, but here is a Google Drive - link. Hopefully it works.

The problem occurs when I add a new product in a retail store. I just added bandage and band aid in my Super Discount store and both of them had the problem. So it's not a problem when I'm adding a product that's already selling within the city; just new products.

I loaded the save game you provided and the price of Dinner Sets is actually normal, at $6.49. To test it further, I removed the pair of the purchase and sale units and set them up again from scratch, buying the same Dinner Set products. The default price set by the computer for the newly purchased products is $6.61, as you can see in the attached screenshot.

If the problem still persists, please provide the exact steps for recreating the problem in your save game.
