ATM's ?

Post by au8633 »

It would be cool if you could have a ATM option to put into your retail stores say its one square and you can select what banks ATM you want and it pays the retail store a fee for each transaction. The bank has the options to change fees and incentives for the retailer. This can be a good or bad thing because the machines cost money to run and if they are in a bad area with not much use you could be in real trouble. As well the ATM could bring extra business to those retail stores

Why? there are already operational costs, and ATM's are in many countries "bank services" and not "shop services".
In "Europe" a bank transaction cost only €0,001 for a shop (yes les than a cent) when a costumer pays the transaction on a payment terminal.
Ofcource a Creditcard transaction cost a little bit more. But not so much that it will effect your operational costs that mush.

The secured-transportation of money from/to shops, where 2 guards have to secure the money in armed vehicles... that is expansive.

In Canada, where i live, transaction by cards have a certain cost . For example, there a small store where I go from time to time where the sales clerks doesn’t want me to use my credit card for transactions that are 10$ or less because its cost him to much money.

I don’t necessarily think that this feature should be added in the game. It could just be an added cost to operation expenses but not more.

In Australia we have ATM's in some supermarkets and in the petrol stations and convenience stores. Recently In Australia the big 4 banks choose to make all the ATM networks they operate fee free no matter what bank you are with. The cost is to the supplier for a ATM network and keeping them maintained and filled up . I think Merchant fees are a different kettle of fish. Maybe companies have to choose what merchant they want to go with and the bank you choose sets these fees based on your size for eftpos and credit
