I AGREE!!! I am trying to understand how the computer prices my stuff, I realized that they will either hike the factory prices or the retail prices. a chief financial officer can help you pick the strategy and maybe help you budget for advertising and for training. that would be cool!!

personally I dont need another head to pay a few millions for screwing up stuff in the corporation. i usually do have not a single AI as senior staff. when i take over other companies i let the ceo in its positionb of course but i take everything off him/her exept pricing of the goods, sometimes they gonna have a few factories for a couple years in the event that it has a high brand rating and my rangebrand for those products are zero. if this is the case i dont really care if they hike the factory prices or not as its internal sale only anyway and the subsidiary will cease to exist one day anyway, once i took everything of them i am interested in, because certain things dont work out the way it should (i.e. let them have all R&D costs to kill the profits is not possible as they mess up the R&D projects or permanently putting all kind of buildings up 4sale no matter how often ya rip down the 4sale sign they just put it back up again, no matter how often ya change R&D, they change it back once in a while to ensure you never get any R&D project done)

I have never experienced major problems with AI senior execs except when I have the cool over stores (less important markets due to issues I pointed out in why wal-mart can't succeed in capitalism lab). I tell the CEO not to change products and it works. The CEO does a good job as well.anjali wrote:personally I dont need another head to pay a few millions for screwing up stuff in the corporation. i usually do have not a single AI as senior staff. when i take over other companies i let the ceo in its positionb of course but i take everything off him/her exept pricing of the goods, sometimes they gonna have a few factories for a couple years in the event that it has a high brand rating and my rangebrand for those products are zero. if this is the case i dont really care if they hike the factory prices or not as its internal sale only anyway and the subsidiary will cease to exist one day anyway, once i took everything of them i am interested in, because certain things dont work out the way it should (i.e. let them have all R&D costs to kill the profits is not possible as they mess up the R&D projects or permanently putting all kind of buildings up 4sale no matter how often ya rip down the 4sale sign they just put it back up again, no matter how often ya change R&D, they change it back once in a while to ensure you never get any R&D project done)

Re: Cheif Financial Officer (CFO)
Some additional things to add/idea to put out
1. Stock Investment/Mergers & Acquisitions should be a skill/expertise.
2. When a subsidiary is stock focused via Management policies we should have some stock based rules we can set for the CEO such as:
A. Set Target Companies
B. Stock investment criteria such buy shares that are below Equity Per Share
C. Ability to set Target Price for Target Companies.
3. The person with M&A expertise should be able to identify companies that is a great match or complements parent company/subsidiary business and acquire shares.
4. Sell criteria on either specifics stocks or stocks in general profit is => X % profit or loss is >= - X%
I know I've been kinda relentless in this CFO thing but its a sorely needed feature.
