Subsidiaries should be Divisions before a IPO

Post by au8633 »

Subsidiaries should be Divisions before a IPO and you should be able to run it without a CEO and when you want to take the division to a IPO you need to set up the a headquarters for the division and hire a CEO . There should also be a setting where divisions or Subsidiaries can use parents TECH. I think its pointless having a CEO straight away cause They always get in my way and change stuff on me. Every thing still will work the same money wise and merging other companies to your division. This would be awesome for media subsidiaries because when ever I own all media outlets the CEO goes and sells them even when I set the CEO not to manage the damn firms. It will also give greater control to the users wanting more control over manufacturing Subsidiaries

I always saw retail, manufacturing as divisions due to how they appear on the firm page. What we need, which I already suggested, is to be able to make a private subsidiary which we can operate with the goal of IPOing, this is a major missing feature. IRL divisions have "division heads" so requiring a CEO wouldn't be a bad thing especially since you will be looking to IPO the company in the future anyway.

On second thought...maybe a way to have the human player be CEO of more than one company might be the best way to accomplish this.

Implementation idea
===================
-Private Subsidary
-Human player can be designed as CEO of 2 (or more?) companies.

What do you mean by a Private Subsidiary? When I set up a subsidiary they always start off as private companies.
