I noticed a recurring issue that is completely unrealistic: CEOs of subsidiaries will happily demand outrageous salaries that will quickly bankrupt the company.

For example I bough 75% of a crappy company with market cap of 30 million. The company annual profits were 500k, and the cash on hand was 300k.

CEO immediately said he was brilliant and made profits rise, and wanted salary of 15 million. I clicked yes just to see what would happen. Company went bankrupt days later.


Thing is, this keeps happening over and over again. Making buying small companies terrible idea. But if I lower CEO salary, then the game allows subsidiary spamming. This need some fixing.

That does not sound right - do you have a save game of this happening? Normally they shouldn't ask for that much.

that doesnt sound right, even bg companies i buy up with 500m+ or billions of market cap have usually just 500k-3m anual salery and they ask rarely for a raise in salary
on the other hand if i open up a sub and hire a CEO sure its 3-4m anually salary on company with 20 or 30 m asset thats quite crazy salary they ask on hire, but they are cool and dont ask for a raise unless i start making this sub profitable then they gonna ask sometimes for a raise but thats somewhere in the range of 20-50% increase quite a lot but i dont bother too much with it as they wont be able to ask again and again due to company been disolved usually within 10 years or less once they served their purpose

bah that would bancrupt my tiny sub with currently 18.000 monthly profit and 40m assets

my hired CEO is easy going hasnt asked for a raise since i hired him

O.o I thought it was supposed to be normal, since I saw it in every single game. Maybe is my settings? I am playing on survival mode, with 150 AI characters, and AI expertise level "moderate"

got only 300% difficulty currently due to some testing

and the salaries are limited as its crazy to ask $50m or more for a CEO on a company thats not even worth that much. maybe CEO salaries should start in general lower and if the profit / total assets is 10 or 20 times higher then the CEOs salaries the CEO should roll the dice to decite if he gonna ask for a raise (the size of raise and the chance to ask for raise should be depending on attitude towards the Chairman of the company so in this case to the player)

the recent change made means CEO's expect insane amounts of salaries these days. (and also massively changes the difficulty score if you want to avoid it).
