I just noticed that in the Banking and Finance DLC scenario Jewelry Venture's Bond Strategy, the player expertise is randomly determined. I think this should be changed to give the player starting expertise in both Jewelry and Watches.

watch and jewelry are 2 seperate product groups and you can anytime hire a cto with high jewelry and setup a sub and hire a CEO with watch knowledge to help on research, expertise isnt really needed on the player

You can indeed, though the game's convention is that normally when you are asked to do a scenario with a particular product in mind the player normally starts with expertise in that area. For example in the toy scenario the player starts with toy expertise, in the fashion scenario, apparel experience, etc

However, only one product expertise can be defined for each person in the game, as the game does not support more than one expertise. Should it be Jewelry or Watch?

with Jewelry being the higher rated product i would vote for jewelry, and watch well the player should hire staff that helps him on his way ... like the CTO with watch expertise. and as you just said it isnt possible to have 2 product class expertises, my post above was kinda to mention xactly this and draw a solution with hiring/setup sub. some ideas how to success in a scenario can be expected from the player as if you cast all needed tools with scripting into the hands of the player hell there would be no obstacles to overcome to succeed. just hit 9 for maximum speed and wait till you won hehe.

Jewelry is probably the better choice then.

Your suggestion has been implemented in v11.0.04.
It now gives the player starting expertise in Jewelry.
By the way, when you have time, it would be very helpful if you could also play the King of Finance and Race to the Billionaires Club and let us know if the goals and difficulties are appropriate. Thanks.

I can verify that this has been added now, that's good.

I have played through both of these a week ago:
Race to the Billionaires Club is a very hard scenario as the billionaires start with a lot of money and keep on making more of it due to their investments. But it is still possible to win after a few decades as long as you diversify your income streams and keep expanding.
King of Finance is also doable, however I can't win either of these scenarios if I start with Banking or Insurance or at least it is much harder (if I start with media or something else then I can use it to get into Insurance and Banking). I might give this a try again but the scenario is still achievable within the timeframe as long as I don't start in either of those industries.
Reason why I indicate this is that the scenario requires you to dominate those industries and I assume that players will try starting in either one and run into problems (i.e it is very hard to make enough money to get to being #1 in Market Cap).
