Competition Suggestion (Higher company limit)

I have a suggestion for the game

To make the game more "cutthroat" I think the limit for maximum number of companies should be lifted from 10 to perhaps 20 or even 30.

It would force people to make decisions on whether to specialize in a small number of markets for a greater market share or to diversify and try get as many small pieces of cake as possible.

This way, the game can also be changed as to whether a company should operate as a primary/secondary goods provider (as there are now more potential buyers) or a finished products seller/retailer or to do the whole chain.

I think the AI should also be improved to think about these types of decisions too

The cities are too small to include even more than 15 companies... it's already cramped with 10 in 4 cities...

One of the issues of increasing the number of AI competitors is the color code.

Currently the game can display a maximum of 14 distinguishable color codes, which includes the player company.

(You see color codes in many places, during the product's brand, the market share pie chart

Let's say we want to run a game with 30 AI companies, we have to figure out how to show visually display those AI companies that are not allocated with one of the 14 distinguishable color codes.

One solution is to use a common color, like Black for representing these "minor" companies, whereas the companies that use the original 14 color codes are "major companies".

Minor companies will have less capital and expand less aggressively. They can become targets for company acquisitions and mergers and thus make the game more interesting with increased M&A opportunities.

Any feedback is welcome.

Is it possible to have 2 colours combined for additional companies?

For example, there may be a blue company and maybe a green company. But is there a blue-striped-with-green company?

What would be interesting is making these "minor AI" limited to a particular product.

That is to say, like SME.
They just own one factory or perhaps two, and then they sell their products to one retailer (or the retail store are on their own)

We have done a test with a maximum of 30 AI companies and it seems to run well.

10 AI competitors have unique colors and the others are using a common corporate color (yellow in this example, as shown in the attached screen)

The competition is much more intense -- you can expect competition in virtually all product categories.

It also leads to a lot more mergers and acquisitions opportunities.

I think with more competitors, there should be more than just 4 cities.
Otherwise, the cities will run out of space very soon...or we need bigger maps...

The maximum number of cities has been increased to 7.

I'm all in for 7 cities and up to 30 companies. Many players want competition from AI so by having more companies you have just improved the competitiveness.
