If all the players have the same bug but David can't reproduce it, I'll end up believing that David has a better version ^^.Kenny wrote: Fri Jun 04, 2021 1:27 pm

How to reproduce?
Just run any game and watch how you are mysteriously paying wages for a non-existent employee when you don't even have any firm on the board yet.
Is this a new mechanic to simulate the living expenses of CEO's?
All AI's seem to be affected by this bug as well.
I can confirm it was fixed for the player ...David wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 2:42 am The bug with the CEO salary setting has been fixed. Please download the latest patch 6.9.03 from https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewt ... f=7&t=8360

I think it probably should be fixed in such a way that CEO's don't take a salary at all until the HQ building is actually built on the map. Right now it creates the weird situation where the CEO office isn't needed to pay out a CEO salary for AI's. While not game breaking or anything like that it is a bit odd and counter-intuitive in how the gameplay is intended where one needs an HQ to do this.
I second and completely support this suggestion.paulwoman wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:59 amAs the Dupont and Dupond of Tintin https://context.reverso.net/traduction/ ... +et+Dupont : "Je dirais même plus" https://context.reverso.net/traduction/ ... %AAme+plusBrutus wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:46 am I'd recommend that AI CEO's don't actually take a salary until they have either 'stocks' in other companies (for stock focused AI's) or setup their first firm on the board. There should be a minimum profit before the CEO can take a "salary".
I think a profit of $100,000 would be sensible, as it is "easy" to get that amount.
