What do write offs consist of in the game?

Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I believe one example of a write-off in this game is when you "clear stock" of inventory in a retail store without selling it. The merchandise gets dumped and it's charged as a write off

Yes thats one example, another is if you relocate buildings the old firm building will be demolished and its building asset value will be written off as an expense.
