I keep getting these crashes randomly, but haven't been able to replicate them.

Sometimes they occur when trying to build a new building, set up the slots in retail stores, clicking on the R&D news button etc.

I have to save the game always before building anything and even then can't play the game for 30 minutes without a crash - pretty frustrating

Please try using 1.943 and see if the problem persists.

You can download the 1.941 installer from:
ftp://caplabbeta:capeco386@enlight.exav ... taller.exe

and it will auto patch to 1.943.

If the problem is limited to 1.952 only, we will trace the code change between 1.952 and 1.943 and try to hunt down the bug.

Please let me know your testing result.

Has anybody else encountered the above crash bug? Please reply here if you have, so that we can determine if it is an isolated bug or a widespread one.

So I tried the 1.943 version and played about half an hour and got this message.

I was looking at the apartments menu and right-clicked the mouse and the game crashed.

Any ideas what might cause this? Is it just my computer being silly or have others reported similar issues?

Which version of Windows are you using?

Wow, that's unique! I've been playing on XP SP3 for more than 20 hrs now and haven't encountered that error yet.

If I am the only one getting these errors then the logical conclusion is that my computer is wonky. Not fun.

I have no idea how to interpret those error messages. Capitalism II runs fine and it has never crashed.
