Electricity company, day/night cycle, new products, giants

I would like that in Capitalism Lab would be an option to own & set up a company which makes electricity.
2. I would also like that there would be a startup option for day & night cycle.
3. These new products, crop growing:
Products:
Bottled water
Juice (from apple, orange, lemon.)
Pencil & Pen
Mug
Tomatoes, cucumbers, orange, apples, potatoes (sold in retail stores)
Crop growing:
Apple
Orange
Tomatatoe
Cucumber
Potatoes
4. And of course (if that can be made) option to start like some of today's market giants like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Nokia e.t.c
Idea is still not finished, so please wait voters!

Maybe expand on the electricity idea a bit more.
I would like there to be utility companies in Cap Labs but can't figure out myself how the expenses would be based since surely we can not / would not want a company that is only pure profit and no expenses. So how would expenses be balanced in there?

I think that the expenses would be like in a real electricity company - if there was a storm/disaster then there are expenses - to fix the problem. Also, the player would be notified about the problem.
Other companies will purchase electricity, because so that everything they build is working they need electricity, government also will purchase electricity.
But of course you can do the usual stuff - build farms, factories e.t.c.
And what do you think about the new products, giants, day/night cycle idea?

I think it's quite hard to simulate, as electricity can't be accumulated, and as it can be considered as necessary for nearly ALL products.

Well - why not simulate electricity like.... media advertising? Click on TV company and you'll see 2 sliders:
- monthly investment on new content (which can be "monthly investment on development and up-keep")
- price for 1000 (which can be "price for electricity for 1 month")
And you start with state-owned el. company, which will be hard competitor, maybe 2-3 comp like these. And your competitors can also build el. com.

I like your improvement to my idea. Also, to have an option so that competitors don't have an option to run an electricity company.

Can i add something else?
Just like media-companies - there should be several types of electric companies:
- Solar-powered plant
- Wind-powered plant
- Nuclear-powered plant
- Hydropower plant (beilieve Dam is the word here)
- Coal-powered plant
possibly some other - biomass or geothermal
And - each type will have different costs, but make the same one final product - eletricity. And will differnate from city to city - where there's no water, you can't build dam... and so on...

Great improvement, so now, we have to finish our idea and make a poll.
Also, would you like to have bridges in game or not? - I do.
Can I edit the first message - Where I made the poll and the unfinished idea?

Aaaaand we forgot something...
Well, we create electricity... but who do we sell it to? General population... well that's just the first client.
What about competitors buying electricity from us, to power their buildings. This makes another interesting question - if every building need electricity to run - so do... our own buildings? (So people who program the game should find a way to implement this with - every type of building need diff amount of electricity to run - as in real life)
And if we don't have plant, we must buy electricity from... already existing power-plants. Also - competing prices.
And one small detail - diff price of electricity for a) industrial buildings - farms, factories, mines, b) offices, apartments, mansions c) state-owned buildings - stadium, tv, radio... (like in real life) - which is... 3 diff sliders... and possibly - option to choose whether or not to sell to one of these 3 type of clients

Correct. To population and to other companies (for $), to our own buildings (for free or $),
And one small detail - diff price of electricity for a) industrial buildings - farms, factories, mines, b) offices, apartments, mansions c) state-owned buildings - stadium, tv, radio... (like in real life) - which is... 3 diff sliders... and possibly - option to choose whether or not to sell to one of these 3 type of clients
That also.
Yes, three sliders:
Population
Other companies
Our company
Yes, exsisting power plants.
