Company Board of Directors:
-Group of 3 or 5 Members Elected by Shareholders
-Minority Owned Companies ~20-33% Share Vote Elects 1 Member
-50%+ Ownership Gives Board Vote Control Essentially Advisory Board (Must Still Elect Share of Board Members)
-Compensation: (~$25,000-$500,000)
•Base Pay (~30-40%)
•Year End Share Grant (~60-70%)

Potential Board Responsibilities/Powers:
-Set Dividend
-Declare Special Dividend
•Cash
•Shares of Subsidiary
-Select Audit Firm (if Professional Service Addon/DLC)
-Hire/Fire Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
-Set Executive Compensation:
•Set Chief Executive Officer Total Pay
•Set % of Pay Allocated to Specific Categories (for all Executives):
oBase Salary (~10%) (Minimum $100,000 before Bonus or Equity)
oYear End Annual Bonus (~20%)
oYear End Equity Grant (~70%)
•Select Performance Measurements and Targets (for all Executives):
oRevenue Growth of x%
oProfit Growth (Operating or Total) of x%
oNet Worth, Market Cap or Share Price Growth of x

CEO Responsibilities/Powers:
-Hire/Fire Other Executives
-Set Other Executive Total Pay
-Manage Operations

Expanded Share Classes:
-Class A Shares: Regular Common Shares (1 Share = 1 Vote)
-Class B Shares: Super Voting Common Shares (1 Share = 10 Votes, Same Share of Company Value as Regular Shares)

Additional Organizations:
-Governed by Board of Directors/Trustees
-Professional Associations, Fraternities or Societies (similar to Political Parties for Professional Pursuits)
-Charitable Foundations, Charities, etc. (Museums, Zoos, Health, Poverty, etc.)

Relationship System:
-Relationship Status that Determines whether Board Members Vote with you or Executives want to work for your firms.
-Build Relationship Value by Hiring them to work for your firms, electing them to company or organization boards, donating to their charitable causes, etc.

Additional Features:
-Ability to Poach/Hire Executives Currently Working for Other Firms
-CFO Executive Position (Required for Banking Operations, Allows you to Issue Company Bonds, etc.)

I don't really see how this adds value. Seems like more red tape for the player to micromanage.

I disagree with the person who commented before me. Capitalism Lab was always suppose to represent realism so I think it would be good to be quite honest.

None of this really seems necessary, if your company owns 50%+ of another company then it is assumed that it controls the board.

These features also assume that you can rely on the ai for making reasonable decisions in your controlled companies.

The interesting parts of corporate governance that can be reasonably simulated are already included in the game as far as I am concerned.

Agreed.
Sounds Good Just throwing out some ideas.

I have split off the ideas and included them in the Subsidiary DLC Suggestions as this will be more applicable. Simplifying some of them and providing more practical information on others.
