Capitalism 2 and Capitalism Lab Forum

Hi!

I noticed that there was a thread about a possible Steam release back in 2012 where the dev said that he would be interested. Now its been a lot of time since then, so I'm wondering if this game is ever going to be released on Steam? I have just heard about this game recently but have played countless hours of Capitalism 2 and thought it needed a sequel, which this game pretty much is! However I don't think I will be buying it anytime soon, I rarely buy games that aren't on Steam anymore + I feel this game is a bit pricy if I'm buying the full bundle.

Okay the price is actually kind of reasonable considering the depth of this game, but if the game does get a Steam version, can the devs then promise that we early backers (yes I bought it) will get free Steam keys?

Once upon a time, I was waiting for a Steam release of Capitalism Lab. Now, it is the last thing that I care about. The only thing a Steam release does is make it more widely available and reveal how many hours I spend creating conglomerates that own, make, and sell everything!

I know Steam is convenient from the consumer's standpoint, but there's lots of little developers who try hard to make good games, and either can't get on Steam, or boycott it because they'll be swamped by the big titles that have enormous marketing budgets. Make sure to give cottage developers a fair shake, otherwise they might not exist anymore!
