I know we have all wanted TV Shows/Movies in the game. I believe it can be done using the Video Game method and fine turning.

1. Person has to setup a development house.
1a. person chooses if its tv/move house
1b. person chooses name and area of the development (Drama, fichtion etc)

2. Person sets up production house
2a. Once development it goes to pre production
2c. Hire talent to be in. Much like R and D but it affects costs and potential viewership ongoing over years (maybe put a cap of 2 years then it moves to Downloaded content with a price point)

3. Person creates a Movie Studio
3a. Person uses farms and so forth to buy drinks and food to sell
3b. Person selects movie(s). I like the idea of using the basic 4 movies maybe 2 -3 floors like in a store
3c. Person runs the movies

4. Person Creates TV SHops
4a. Person picks tv show. Maybe eventually fills out a primetime schedule
4c. TV Show runs. Somehow Ads or eyeballs have to be figured in

Sounds simple in my head.

Overall the first baby implementation would be just having it created like a video game is now. Sold through a TV/Movie Store.

Interesting ideas. Would you be interested in creating a mod based on your ideas?

I can set up a new modding contest for this TV show/movie with the same prize as the video game modding contest (viewtopic.php?f=53&t=5070) if we can figure out all the modding details required to make this happen. The details you mentioned sound good. But I believe that more details would need to be fleshed out, like how the TV part works exactly.

Have you looked at the posts? What are your thoughts?

After your basic mod is done, if some areas require customization by programming, I can send your requests to the dev team and see if that can be done with relatively minor programming efforts.

Modding have not even dabbled in it at all. Probably a good time to start
