elections seem to be broken in my mind, I cant get my candidate elected mayor even with a support rating of 60%
is it a bug or am I doing ir wrong ?

1) The exact steps for triggering the bug with the save game

As you can see in the before picture, the second person has more approval supporting. However, in after picture, ther first person is elected.

I also have a similar issue. There are 4 candidates competed for the next mayor in my new city. 2 candidates are from my own party, and my leading candidate has over 50% of support, the other less than 1%. The rest 2 candidates are from 2 other different AI parties, one strongest competitor with about 45% support, and one with less than 3%.
After the election, none of the 4 candidates were elected, but a member from a 4th party which doesn't even have candidate in this election became the new mayor.

This bug has been fixed. Please download patch v4.2.03 from
