Capitalism 2 and Capitalism Lab Forum

Hello everyone!

Wanted to make a more detailed direct outreach to the community to see if anyone would like to become a contributor at Capitalism Lab to write news summaries, knowledge base article or maintain an active business journal.

Over the past month or so I've had a "Pop-up" on the website asking visitors if we have the resources that they expected or was looking for 62.5% said Yes and 19.6% said somewhat. If you've blogged, posted on this forun, submitted a knowledge base article, uploaded a file @ capitalismfans.com it's just as easy to post news (once your account is given that right) and open/maintain a business journal.

If anyone wants the title of "Community Manager" who would oversee the contributors and recruit new ones I would be very happy to assist in one coming on board. I don't have any problems with investing in the community, I just don't have the time and/or knowledge that create all the necessary content to make Capitalismfans.com the resource it can be.

I think it would be helpful to have a contributor constantly updating the MOD download links at Capitalismfans.com so that the page always offers the latest versions of the user-created MODs for download.

For instance, the RealWorld MOD is several versions newer at the forum than at the CapitalismFans.com download page.

, it's almost as easy to upload the RealWorld Mod on CapitalismFans as it is the forum.

I would also suggest that you put the direct download link to the latest version of your MOD on the first page of your MOD's forum thread: http://www.capitalismlab.com/forum/view ... =39&t=2363

For instance, it would be very helpful if users can find the download link of v7.02 of your MOD there, without having to browse the entire thread looking for the download link.

Well, I just started a business journal on 'Fans, but couldn't figure out how to imbed an image. There wasn't an upload feature, and copy/paste into the rectangle didn't seem to work. The image I was using was on my hard drive, and I really couldn't direct-link to it on the web.

Is there some trick to using the image feature in the journal editor? What I saw in that pop-up dialog box seemed to be asking more for meta-data of the image tag. (I was using the Chrome browser in Windows 7 Pro.)

Most of us just use free image hosting services, like therealevan used imgur, eRogue used snagyy, or KippurCatArts used google drive. As for myself, since I posted a report on the forum first, hence I just use forum links in the original post as "image source". I think only William himself is able to host image on capitalismfans host server.

Yeah, I just found William's notice that late last month he turned off file uploading due to the site getting hacked by this feature. I direct linked to the lead image, but will look into hosting with one of the above named resources.

I got Imgur to work, after failing multiple times to get Google Drive images to share publicly. Well, the Imgur album is not what most Imgur people have in mind for the service, but it does have a nifty link back to the Business Journal. Who knows, that may generate some traffic back to CapitalismFans. At least it's not Yet-Another-Cat-Photo

What would it take to gain access to writing articles for the Knowledge Base? I would like to contribute a cash flow tip article, but can not see any way to make a contribution.
