It will be very useful and nice to have a calendar where you can see when RND is about to finish, crops are about to harvest, write down reminders who will pop at a certain date and such ...

We are CEOs after all, so we need virtual-secretaries to do secretaries' work. (I wonder how hard would it be to design a decent secretary AI?)

secretaries 8-) "Leisure Suit Larry" style secretaries

William - not at all. Now when I'm thinking about that, it will be nice to have a index with all commodities and their price (and location of course) as any new game start for me start with writing down all the Seaport available, prices and locations.

Just a thought...
I would like to see the ability to export as much information as possible into an excel file. I usually play windowed (so I can multitask... games and tv, not work) so I can have an excel file open on the side for reference. I already do this to take notes like you guys are saying.

Excel would also be nice to see the entire income statement history for the company and ability to make more detailed graphs.

Just to specify, the format of output data should be csv.

I do make an excel file to help calculate which products can be made and what quality they will be back when playing Cap2 (didn't have the time to update it to Cap Lab though). But still I have to manually type in which ones are from seaport and what quality they are before they can be calculated anyway.

So I would love to have a built-in index system as well. Or just give us an easier way to mod it. (or parse the save files)

I would like to have a tree-like structure to just click/check and it can show the end outcome in graphics. Sort of like planning test-run to see the cost of production and likely quality before actually doing it. (like what resources we added provide a new opportunity to manufacture, what would happen if we change supply from seaports to player firms)

I've been wanting this for ages; Once your company gets big you can of need to look at the numbers. See if your revenue in a certain product/product line decreases and by how many %. I would love to have the game export the Products, Balance Sheet, Income Statement and maybe even each firm type into an excel spreadsheet every year during a save which would allow you to open it into excel and perform functions to use to evaluate your organization.

Like the idea a lot! it will be such a nice tool for making strong important decisions in your company and maybe the AI will be able to use that data to actually do smart moves instead of RND cough syrup for 2 years and open a factory for cold pills and headache pills
maybe if someone here could create an excel sheet that shows what data should be in it and such...

but first, please, calendar (or secretary, dont care)
