Corporate Branding

When you use corporate branding, all of your products should have the same brand rating, correct? I remember that being the case before I downloaded the new user scripts version. However, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Even when I have corporate branding selected, each product's rating goes depending on how much direct advertising I spend on that specific product. Is this a bug?

You may view the "Brand" page on your Corporate Details report (as shown in the attached screenshot), and see if the brand strategy is set to "Corporate Brand".

If the problem persists, please provide us with your save game for investigation.

Thanks David. That is what I have done. How do I send you my saved game?

You may provide us with your save game file by posting it here on the forum as a ZIP file attachment

I have downloaded your save game but couldn't load it in the latest post-release beta v2.3.08.

Could you let me know which version you used for saving the game? (You can see the game version number at the top-right of the main menu.)

I did a test and corporate branding works properly in version 2.3.08 (see the attached screen - I only advertised for one product and the other product in the same category benefited from it).

I am on version 2.3.08. I've attached another file where the same problem is occurring. This time, I ran it on unique branding for a few months and then switched to corporate branding. After I switched, the brand rating did not reset to 0. It seems to be proceeding on the basis of unique branding regardless of what I do.

I loaded your game and observed that you were actually advertising an imported brand from seaports without doing private labeling first. In other words, you were paying money to advertise somebody else's brand, so your switching brand strategy won't affect the brand of the imported goods (those brand color is grey).

I see. So corporate branding will only effect products that I manufacture myself or attach my own private labels on. That makes sense. Thanks.
