If you create a parent company and a subsidiary company in which you wish to produce software then you create a Software Company and set it to create software,eg compouter os display, if commences to start research. The progress bar proceeds normally but when it reaches the end it starts again for the next cycle it has not update the Software Guide and no notifiaction is produced to indicate research has concluded. When it reaches the target resaearc number the Software Guide still shows zero.
However if this Software company is created in the Parent Company everything works normally. Is this a bug or a setting I am not aware off.

The software guide currently only shows the tech for the player company.

The dev team plans to add an option to show the tech of a subsidiary company in the guide in the next major version 13.
