Stock Analysis Tool for Capitalism Lab

I made a tool that imports CSV exports from Capitalism Lab and gives stock recommendations.
## What is This Tool?

**Stock Price Capitalism Lab Tool** is a comprehensive web-based application designed to help Capitalism Lab players make better investment decisions in the Banking and Investment DLC. It imports, stores, analyzes, and provides recommendations for stock market data from your game.

### The Problem It Solves

- **Manual Tracking is Tedious**: Keeping track of stock prices, financial statements, and trends manually is time-consuming
- **Hard to Spot Opportunities**: Without proper analysis, it's difficult to identify which stocks are undervalued or overvalued
- **Missing Historical Context**: Game exports don't provide easy ways to view historical trends and patterns
- **No Recommendations**: The game doesn't tell you which stocks to buy or sell based on data analysis

This tool automatically:
- Imports CSV exports from Capitalism Lab (balance sheets, income statements)
- Builds a comprehensive historical database
- Analyzes financial health, profitability, growth, and stock trends and stock price if entered in manualy
- Provides BUY/SELL/HOLD recommendations with detailed reasoning
- Tracks your portfolio performance
- Visualizes data in easy-to-understand timelines

Setup:
Docker: Extract, run "docker-compose up -d", access at http://localhost:8080
Manual: PHP 8.1+, MySQL 8.0+ (see docs)
All other documentation for further development and usage is contained in the folder /docs/

Download: StockPriceCapLabTool-v1.2.0-distribution.zip (waiting for admin/mod approval)

# Quick Start Guide

Get the Stock Price Capitalism Lab Tool running in 5 minutes!

## Docker Deployment (Recommended)

### Step 1: Prerequisites

Make sure you have Docker and Docker Compose installed:

```bash
docker --version
docker-compose --version
```

**Don't have Docker?** Install from: https://docs.docker.com/get-docker/

### Step 2: Get the Project

```bash
git clone <repository-url>
cd stockPriceCapLabTool
```

Or download and extract the project files.

### Step 3: Configure

```bash
cp .env.example .env
```

Edit `.env` file (optional - defaults work for local development):

```env
APP_PORT=8080
DB_NAME=stock_price_tool
DB_USER=stock_user
DB_PASS=your_password_here
```

### Step 4: Start

```bash
docker-compose up -d
```

Wait 10-20 seconds for database initialization.

### Step 5: Access

- **Application:** http://localhost:8080
- **phpMyAdmin:** http://localhost:8081 (optional)

### Step 6: Setup Database

1. Go to: http://localhost:8080/setup.php
2. Click **"Create Missing Tables"**
3. Verify all items show ✓ Complete

### Step 7: Import Your First CSV

1. Go to: http://localhost:8080/import.php
2. Upload your CSV files from Capitalism Lab
3. Review import results

** You're done!** Start using the application.

## Common Commands

```bash
# Start services
docker-compose up -d

IT seems you all and i got your wish they did make it easier to export data from the game by regular intervals.

I made it as simple as i could on my own. would need feedback from testers to help make it easier to use.
