There is Farm extension which is very good, instead building multiple farms..
Can we have the same for factory?? Factory extension.
I am playing RealWorld MOD and to balance production, i need build 24 MEGA Factory of CPU and 24 MEGA Factory CCD plants

Re: Factory Extension
I think that's a great idea! A factory extension system like the farm extension would significantly improve gameplay.
Modern manufacturing is all about optimizing existing facilities rather than just building more factories. Managing numerous identical factories for the same product feels unrealistic and unnecessarily cumbersome.
Rather than using scripts to increase factory capacity, I'd suggest more engaging gameplay mechanics - like expanding production lines similar to retail stores, or extending factory grounds like farm extensions.
The concept from my forum proposal (viewtopic.php?t=10307) could be applied to factories as well, where factories could receive production bonuses if supplied with direct water or electricity. If this system were implemented for factories, it would add a new layer of strategic depth beyond simple expansion.
Such an approach would make factory management a more realistic and strategic element of the game, if these ideas were ever implemented!

Re: Factory Extension
I like the concept, but adding more land to a factory probably wouldn't work like the farming concept, as the same number of production units can only be given so much more capacity from more space, so it would maybe be a bit complex in the framework.
Perhaps it's more like the multi-floor system, in that you need to train up a new manufacturing unit.
To get the gain in efficiency though, you need to be able to use the pile of resources you have on the ground floor such as aluminium or flour to create the throughput.
So how do you pull the existing stock up the floors?
Well, perhaps that is where land comes in handy, as that stockpiles "outside the factory" are connected internally and you purely manufacture and sell "inside the factory".
You could then in theory, allow factories to sit adjacent to the stockpile to access it as well, gaining the productivity by not bogging down multiple factories with stock units.
This would be more in line with real world production, and could create a new approach to cities and factories.
Alternatively, you allow MFS as a simple coding exercise and accept the stockpile issues on the floors.

Re: Factory Extension
Excellent Idea! Honestly, I love the idea of extendable capacity for everything. My production cities are sprawling industrial sections, even with increasing capacity via scripts. Extendable warehouse capacity would be amazing as well. In-game capacity increase options are better than scripts, simply because costs are more accurately scalable. Seriously, do this for everything!
