Product Start Year.....not working

I've set year starts for some COSTA products.....game starts in 1990
From the start year LATTE is 'greyed out' which is correct, but as the RAW MATS are available, so its available in the sea ports???
If this is for YOUR Company only, how do you stop AI companies getting the product until the same year??
So, I used the same 3 RAW MATS in my coffee shop and it did not allow the LATTE which is correct, but allowed another product that uses the same RAW MATS, which is correct.
Maybe change it : IF ALL RAWS MATS are available AND PRODUCT start year is greater than current date then NOT available at seaports?
Just a thought

if the CANINV_YR is set to 1996 it means NO ONE can start invention the product before january/1996 even the AI can not, and NO, products that arent invented yet, can not be available at the seaport, as no one in the damn whole world even knows that this product exsists nor how to make it.

Cool, but then why is the seaport Icons STILL green and ticked for the products types that have not yet been invented?

Another example. RAW MAT 'OLIVES' are not available either from seaport or import (Manufacturing guide), but an AI company is importing them to make canned Olives in his retail store??

you mean the green thicks behind the products in the manufacturer guide? thats nothing to do with import/seaport ...
the ship with the cargo containers is the import icon,
those green thicks let you know that you have all necessary prerequisites to invent the product, it just dont let you invent it because its locked until a certain year in the game has been reached, therefore any productthat doesnt need a semi product invention upfront will always have a green thick
and if you havent invented a product yet but another company does have the product knowledge then by all means it can be available by import/seaport (thats of course only products that arent locked for invention until a later date but i think thats clear because if locked, no one has the knowledge of that product).
as i wrote before ... only products that nobody in the damn world has a clue of and dont know how to produce it, are NOT available via seaport/import
Another example. RAW MAT 'OLIVES' are not available either from seaport or import (Manufacturing guide), but an AI company is importing them to make canned Olives in his retail store??
and farm products + raws dont need to be invented, they can just be farmed/ mined and therefore those products are always available unless they re locked via script, which would be not a good idea as then you can produce anything that requires those farm products/raws
and if someone importing them via import company then he was lucky and got a deal for it, so he can have some fine monopolies until someone sets up an olive farming

YEs, understand the 'tick' for the RAW MATS, the issue is with the green tick on 'product types' , use the LATTE product type as an example (Above).
If the RAW MATS are 'ticked' then they can be used for other product types, which is correct...not an issue.
The issue is why when a Product type has not been invented (greyed out) AND there is a 'tick' next to that item.
My understanding is that 'tick' means that Product type is available to 'all' at a seaport ??
My question has been 'if a product type has not been invented why is the seaport 'ticked' on that product type'?

Please download the latest patch v11.0.23:
viewtopic.php?t=9970&start=20
The icons in the manufacturer guide indicating availability of supply now have help text. Please see if they now all make sense.

that thick in the product list means, you have all prereqs to manufacture it, if there wouldnt be the invention year in the past as explained higher above
