Do you have any specific suggestions what options should be added to allow you to control the CEO as you described?anjali wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2024 9:07 pm while testing around a bit i found an issue with the management options not working
on banks and Insurance companies ...
CEO is set to only present the company so not permitted to change anything
now in banks i got to change advertisement and training budget usually 3 times a month so i m only sticking around checking daily bank/branches to change back advertisement and training budget after the CEO changed it. its really annoying.
also the CEO keeps selling land even more annoying when you need to secure your landplots for later expansion and you got to watch day by day if he has more cash then start searching everywhere for the 1 sold plot.
the moment u add 2 advertiesemnts even when the radio and tv is owned by your parent ... every day i add it ... everyday the CEO cancels it thats unplayable
i always set AI to be unable to change anything in my companies only there to use their expertise or in case of subsidary its required to have him, as this is fatal and only gives me never ending micro management to fix what they break. so i would expect that this kind of advertisement and training budget change in banks should not happen if the AI person isnt permitted to change anything.
to add to that> YES i did set the CEO as IDLE in every Firm and he still changes crap
would be nice to fix that
thanks in advance
My view on this is if the subsidiary CEO isnt actively managing or doing anything, then how would the subsidiary company be benefiting from their expertise.David wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2024 8:08 am
Do you want an option that completely disable subsidiary CEOs from doing anything? If so, I can suggest it to the dev team for the reason that you (and possibly some players as well) want to micromanage every subsidiary companies.
in the past when taking over majority stock of AI companies beyond 75% ownership i was able to tell the CEO to do nothing but have their expertise for the companies i.e. R&D/training/marketing so the options are actually there when i turn off everything on the managers/CEOs screenDavid wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2024 8:08 am Do you have any specific suggestions what options should be added to allow you to control the CEO as you described?
Currently the player main company's banks cannot be run by COO and must be managed by the player personally, so the IDLE setting does not apply to it.
Subsidiary CEO can manage banks but the game currently does not have any options for customizing the management styles of the CEO as they are supposed to be CEOs - running their own companies with ample autonomy.
the temporarley Idle you integrated on the buildings is sufficient if it would actually really turn them off and just lend their skills. this would make it possible to i.e. banks again ... Idle on branches, active on HQ / Idle on R$D so they dont switch always to some other research but active on factories i loved to see this implemented if it would work on CEO heheDavid wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2024 8:08 am

Hiring someone who is good at training, but then not letting them manage training wouldn't give a company any boost in training.
So i would think if you totally disable the CEO then any expertise boosts they give should also be disabled.
