Context: When I played the game, I would mass produce items to meet and dominate the market. Instead of having to build 100 factories for computer, I would try to build one factory and copy and paste that factory 100 times. When I did that, the 99 factories that were copied from the original never worked. For stores and r&d I could make one and copy and all would work but not manufacturing.
The result makes it so I have to build 100 times individually.
I tested it and was to duplicate factories without any issues. To help us investigate the problem, could you please provide us with your save game file and let us know the following?
1) Which version of Capitalism Lab you are using. You can see the version number on the top-right of the main menu.
2) The exact steps for triggering the bug in the save game
3) If your savegame uses a MOD, please let us know the name of the MOD and the MOD's version number.
You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from the C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\SAVE
You may provide us with your save game file by posting it here on the forum as a ZIP file attachment or emailing the save game file to us at
info@enlight.com.
If your save game file is too large for attachment, you may check out this post about how to send us large files:

I think I know the problem the user is describing. From my experience, the issue occurs because the game's copy mechanic only registers explicitly linked suppliers, not the underlying product category:
Copying Unassigned Factories: When you build a factory manually, purchase slots auto-select the required input good. However, if you copy that factory before assigning a specific supplier (or running the game, where the supply gets automatically selected), the copied versions break—leaving purchase slots completely empty with no product selected (or atleast they won’t automatically search for specific supplyiers).
Copying Assigned Factories: If you copy a factory that already has a specific supplier, the copy works, but it locks onto that exact supplier (e.g., "Eggs from Farm A") instead of simply copying the demand for "Eggs". (This is quite unfortunate, cause the demand will mostly max out the capacity from this specific supplier. It takes some time for the COO (or auto-supply search) to find new suppliers for this product - it would be better if the supply search will register all firms selling Product X which you want to buy when setting up the firm)
Service Firms: Service firms share a similar problem. They only auto-search for suppliers if the original firm was already fully set up and running with active links.
Maybe this helps (I’ve had this problem in 12.0.7. (not checked for 12.0.8), I mostly use RealWorld Mod (the newest version), but I’m not sure if that also happens without Mods or other mods)
