AI Digital Age companies stop buying my shares once they go IPO and I buy 20% of their shares. I remember that we discussed similar issue a couple of months ago and you told that there is a restriction. Well... I own only 20% of them. This bar looks too low.
Attached is a screenshot of the stock holding from a save game from this post:

The company holding the stocks is a tech company that went IPO. You may download the save game if you are interested in reviewing it.
Telecom company does not buy any shares at all. Well... For now, when telecoms are just powerhouses that cannot be beaten, it is fine. But once it will be fixed, I think that this restriction should be dropped.
My guess is that the dev team do not want telecoms to be snapping up shares of other companies with its amble cash pile, which may seem unfair to the player.

Maybe the new version has improved that. The user's save game was made using v6.1.09 http://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewto ... =52&t=7085 and the AI company owned >50% of various companies after its IPO. Oh, by the way, we just released v6.1.10 a moment ago.

Sounds reasonable. It is not the high priority bug so I can keep looking at it.

Any guidance as to when we can get access to the insurance business and global stock market?

I think there are a number of synergies between banks and insurance business, primarily on the distribution side - insurers can sell their products through bank branches via bancassurance agreements in addition to using insurance branches / agents

-It allows you to create your own mutual fund or holding company like warren buffet from the start if that's all you want to do. This is not for everyone but others have stated an interest in this.

Note: This could just be an initial foundational feature they could add the ability to set up an mutual fund/asset management company in the future where you set up financial advisor branches to collect investment assets and charge a management fee for this service.

-It can also play an important part of running financial firms where banks and insurance companies should have the option to invest a portion of their funds in equities or bonds that the in game market might not be able to effectively absorb.

David is there any plans to create:
-A Global Bond Market?
-Mutual Fund Companies where you can setup something like Financial Advisory Branches to gather investor assets and charge ~1% AUM to manage the money?

Thats why i made this topic http://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewto ... =52&t=7084 put a Global Bond Market can be a great option to a new bank capital allocation system and to the player and its parent company and subsidiaries

I'll revive my favourite topic. Not a bug but definitely an issue.
On screenshots below you can see that on IPO stock price is set to $100 if the company is worth $10B before the IPO. But if the company is slightly cheaper, stock price is set to default $10. As a result you get more than a billion of shares and cannot issue more stock anymore.

My suggestion is that the game should check amount of shares after the IPO, not before the IPO before setting the price.

The following change will be implemented in v6.3.00:

The IPO price will be $100 instead of $10 if the total number of shares pre-IPO reaches 100,000,000 shares.

(The original rule: The IPO price will be $100 instead of $10 if the total number of shares pre-IPO reaches 1,000,000,000 shares.)
