Actually, I loaded your save game with my latest version of 3.5.13, and it's still crash with the exact same bug. Just take a little longer in May 15,2092

Probably, fix bugs take time. And we need to wait for David to report back to the team as well, and it's weekend now. And this is the link to my backup update file, if you can not load the official site update.donaciello wrote:eleaza wrote:Actually, I loaded your save game with my latest version of 3.5.13, and it's still crash with the exact same bug. Ok, so I'd have to wait for a new patch I guess?
Running the risk of looking like a n00b with all tech-unsavvy questions, but what exactly do I do when I've decompressed the file?eleaza wrote:Probably, fix bugs take time. Extract to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Capitalism Lab and replace the old files. How did you update to 3.4.17 in the first place, I though you have to install 3.4.00 and update with 3400->3417 update anyway.donaciello wrote:Running the risk of looking like a n00b with all tech-unsavvy questions, but what exactly do I do when I've decompressed the file?eleaza wrote:

Thanks, and to answer your question, I got version 3.4.17 out of the box, so the installer gave me that, no update.eleaza wrote:Extract to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Capitalism Lab and replace the old files. I don't think I ever run any game this far into the future before. I think I only go as far as about 2040 when I basically dominate every products (or control subsidiaries dominate them), then got bored and tired of micromanaging everything. I don't usually update every tech or research every one of them with fully connected 9 units, when the tech level is high enough, and no one is competing against me. And tech level goes into crazy high without tech disruption ON.donaciello wrote:Great stuff there, your link to the patch works well.
As for the R&D issue, I've bought many R&D centers from my AI-competitors, who were selling their R&D's close to the CBD.
Everything else was already taken, so I figured it would be a good deal to buy them up, demolish the firm, put a convenience store in their place and enjoy a foottraffic index up to 98.
The R&D centers themselves aren't quite special; all of them are 9 units connected per firm, researching for 10 years.
I've also bought tech from AI competitors, when I decided impulsively to manufacture stuff myself, so as to get my farms closer to break-even, in which case a 10 year wait for a decent tech rating is too cumbersome.
