In the base game, cars can be produced by small factory, but with realworld mod, it can not. So it looks to me has to do with mod not-agreeing with the new patch.

The game version I used for testing is v3.5.09B. Please try this latest version and see if it works for you.

I've done some experiments and reinstalled the old 3.4.00, and even back then with RealWorld mod, I can not produce automobiles using small factory (but in the core game it can be). I don't have older version of RealWorld mod to test, but this seems to be an issue existed for a long time with RealWorld mod not agreeing with the base game.

We have got this bug fixed in the latest patch v3.5.10.
