David,

Of course, if it is not possible financially, then it's just not possible.

However, if you are able to, at some point, consider adding in multiplayer support, I would gladly pay $5 for the privilege. I suspect others would pay this much for a multiplayer add-on as well.

Hey everyone,

Just like some other people I registered here to inform you that I am ready to be a beta tester.

I have played several "business simulation" games and I've got a certain experience of this game (played solo mode for almost a year now). Besides I'm familiar with most economic effects which were presented as enhancements for the new addon.

Don't hesitate to PM me if you want me to be part of the testers or if you have any question.

Thanks,

Fitz

The Cap Lab is a good idea. Actually any update is fine with me.

What I like to see in addition to what were suggested is more macro management control. For example looking at a factory I can see where the bottleneck is. Let me train the unit that is lagging. Currently when you train, the whole firm is trained.

And yes, you may add me to your list of beta testers.

I agree, I think paying 14.95 is a fair price, you could even release it on Steam ( http://www.steampowered.com ) a lot of indie games are put on there, it would bring in a lot of sales I am sure.
Another idea is to offer a Pre-Order, I know this is soon but if you were to include access to phase one with updates for the people who preorder, I for one would preorder today. I think many others would aswell.

Make a game sell it like Runic Games did with Torchlight { only single player } make lots of money then make Capitalism 3 with multiplayer and new graphics.

And i want to test Capitalism Lab.

I hope you guys will be getting your groove on pretty soon yeah! I´d also very much like to be a tester

Now, i´ve noticed that there are quite a lot of business games (browser based) that try to replicate Cap. games.
I DID NOT SAY SUCSESSFULLY!!!! THey suck. Mainly because they´re shitty graphics and counter-intuitive and slow. I mean, most people don´t get capitalism either first time around either, but there´s a BIG gap here guys.

Secondly, I´ve also noticed how some companies have started to create more fancy so- called "educational tools" for business simulation. They are selling at a VERY high price. NOT to the general public. I have not seen any of them, but my guess is they are lame. And whats the point of lame game when you can read a book instead?

In my Opinion, Capitalism Is the B e s t p l a t t f o r m for business simulation. It´s not perfect, by all means. Heck, it´s been almost 10 years since cap2(!). It´s the approach that is relevant here, the ambition to simulate the entire value chain, with several markets, and all aspects of business management. It´s not just numbers, it´s also seeing the whole picture, strategizing and plotting.

You guys did that ten years ago, and seriously, you have to maintain your position, or I´m just gonna take this for myself. Do I make myself clear?
probably not.

Hey guys,

I have to agree with Otrex on the multiplayer support. Personally I would say that because of the multiplayer support of Cap II made me and my cousins play Cap II over and over again from the time it was first release until now. I'm impressed with all the new options and features of the Cap Lab but this new addon game without multiplayer support is just really a waste. With all the new features and ideas added into the game will surely keep people entertained but only for a while because eventually we will get tired of playing against AI. However with all these great features, having the multiplayer support to play with friends and family members, the new addon can definitely bring limitless gameplays and possibilities.

With that said, I would really hope Enlight can reconsider and add in multiplayer support. I can honestly say I am of many who would definitely pay a fair price to own a great game that can withstand time like Cap II did.
