The error occurred because Windows does not allow the game to access the user folder. Capitalism Lab stores user data files to <user folder>/My Games/Capitalism Lab

Please try the following solutions:

Solution 1) Turn off the Controlled Folder Access on Windows.

Change the setting from On to Off.

Solution 2) Are you using any anti-virus software or Windows Defender that runs in background? There is a chance that they may block the game from writing files to your harddisk. If so, please add Capitalism Lab to Windows Defender or your anti-virus software as one of its approved app.

For example, if you are using Avast, you can add Capitalism Lab’s EXE file “CapMain.exe” into Avast’s exception list to prevent it from blocking the game.

Solution 3) Run this program as an Administrator. To do so, right click on the Capitalism Lab program icon. Windows will display a popup window. From there, choose “Run as administrator”.

Solution 4) Are you using OneDrive? If so, please try disabling it and see if it makes any difference.

Missing the 2560 x 1440 from v11.
Or perhaps a user configurable setting if that is possible.

it looks like I can only research Internet techs with RD
there are no specialist for other tech categories like telecom 2g telecommunications?

I play v12.0.12 beta with real mod 15.1 but it s the same without any mod...

To find out the reason why it is not available to you, please press ALT-D while you are in the change resolution menu and it will show additional information, as shown in the screenshot below. Please capture the screenshot and post it here so that I can forward it to the dev team for further investigation.

I'm delighted to inform you that the new version 12.0.14 has been released, which has:

Windowed mode now supports a wider range of resolutions.
Fixed the issue of not being able to choose 2560x1440 windowed mode.
