MOD Kit for version 12.0.51 available for download

Capitalism Lab MOD kit for version 12.0.51 is now available for download at:

It has the following changes since the mod kit version 12.0.16:

1) A new folder for the flat logos: \MOD_kit\Images\Logos\NoColorCode_Flat

2) The image size of medium-sized portraits and large portraits has been changed:
\MOD_kit\Images\Persons\medium - changed from 150x160 to 150x150
\MOD_kit\Images\Persons\large - changed from 300x320to 300x300

Please copy these updated files to your mod kit, so that the game can display the portrait images, as images in the old sizes are now incompatible with version 12.0.51 and will not be displayed in the game.

It has the following change since the mod kit version 11:

3) The number of talent names in this version of Mod Kit has been increased from 20000 to 45000. We recommend that you use the updated \MOD_Kit\Data\talent_names.txt when updating your mod.

4) The Most Influential People chart now includes portraits and a brief bio for each historical figure.
To add these to your mod:

a) Copy \MOD_KIT\Data\Influential_People.dbf into your mod’s data folder.
b) Remove the old \MOD_KIT\Data\Influential.dbf file, as it has been replaced by Influential_People.dbf.
c) Copy the entire \MOD_KIT\Images\Influential_People folder from the mod kit into your mod.
d) Copy FILELIST.TXT from the latest MOD_KIT to your mod folder, as this updated FILELIST.TXT includes the influential people images and data files.


Mod Kit for Service Industry DLC

Please note that the above Mod Kit doesn't include the service firms and service-related products.

You can download the Mod Kit that contains the service firms and products from:

(This file hasn't been changed since version 12.0 so while the version number is 12.0.16, it also works for v12.0.51)

After downloading, manually merge the files from the Service Mod Kit with the standard Mod Kit if you want to include service firms and products in your mod.

When you are merging the DBF files, please note that some records have the DELETE keyword. It means that the record should be deleted from the DBF file of the same name in the standard mod kit.

For example, you will see the following record in Product_Types_High_Prices.DBF :
CLASS CODE NAME
------------------------------------
FOOD CAKES DELETE

It means that CAKES should be deleted from the Product_Types_High_Prices.DBF in the standard mod kit, as there is a Cake Product class in the Service Mod Kit, therefore the original Cake product type under the Food product class should be deleted.

It is not required. The folder will be removed from the mod kit's next update.

Hey David,
i have some improvment for your next shipment of the Service Firms ModKit.
It seems that the FILELIST.txt only contains the new stuff for the Service Firms.
But it should add all basic RES Files aswell.
Or state it in the description that you only have to add/combine those new entrys to the FILELIST.txt

For me its looking like this now:
