Hello!

Besides from the modding feature, are there any major differences between beta v2.5.03B, and the released version? Is there an official list somewhere with the features/changes being tested between them? There are some links under "More New Features" - is that it?

I guess it's not possible to play beta versions with the current version's save games, right ? ( downloaded beta version too and only tried copy/paste save directories and it didnt work :p )

New Versions after Capitalism Lab Release

The post-release beta version of Capitalism Lab is designed to allow players to test new features and improvements beyond the official release. While the release version remains stable and polished, the beta version introduces new features that may include bugs.

To allow both versions to coexist, they are installed separately with distinct save game folders. This setup lets players enjoy the stability of the official release version while also experimenting with the latest features in the beta version.

In practical terms, this means you can have both versions installed on your computer. If you prefer the stable, official release, you can launch Capitalism Lab. Alternatively, if you want to try out and test the newest improvements, you can run Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta. Each version uses its own save game folder, ensuring that the save files for the release version remain unaffected by any changes introduced in the beta versions.

Game Application Icons
To run the Capitalism Lab Post-release Beta version, please click on the Capitalism Lab Post-release Beta app icon instead of the Capitalism Lab Release app icon on your desktop. (Your desktop should have both icons.)

Save Game Folder
For the release version:
In your My Documents folder, you can find "My Games" folder and "Capitalism Lab" subfolder, under it, you can find your Cap Lab save game files there.

Both versions will co-exist, meaning that you could continue to play the stable release version after installing this post-release beta version.

And please note that you could only play either the release version or the beta version at any one time. (You cannot run both versions concurrently in your computer.)

For the post-release beta version:
In your My Documents folder, you can find "My Games" folder and "Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta" subfolder, under it, you can find your Cap Lab save game files there.

Updating the release versions
When a beta version has accumulated sufficient improvements and is proven stable with weeks of testing, we may migrate it to the Release version.
