Players should be able to award bonusses to themselves and other members of the management board after a succesful year. The criteria an be determined from the headquarters.
An example: if you have an increase in market share of more than 5% compared to the year before you can award a bonus to your CMO.

I'd propose one step further -think about the idea of awarding a bonus to a partner company (AI, multiplayer) or your company receiving one after reaching a certain level of production/sales. Heck, that's how you REALLY organize big sales in a big world, to motivate a partner you/they set a commonly agreed ladder of bonuses, like when you sold their stuff for 1000k USD, you get 1% of generated revenue, achieved 2000k USD - get 1,5% etc.
It should be at least an on/off option, I believe.
