New thing:
[Historical Bilding] - a building that you can not build, but you start a game with some of these in the cities already. They don't need to be based on real life buildings or be useful for something at all. They can not be bought and sold, and can not be owned at all. Their only use will be - they'll make the local area very attractive for RE investment, as people will wanna live near them. So the rent can be even double the one in the best areas of the city. These buildings will give boost to apartment buildings located near them and they'll be more atractive, but the land will be more expensive. Some times you'll have to buy existing buildings, destroy them and build apartments for profit. Historical buildings will have area-of-effect around them and apartment buildings in it, will have a star-symbol in their menu, showing just that.
Additional - the Goverment may decide to destroy such building, but the player will get a msg - to invest in preservation, thus turning the building into "sponsored by.... " building, and the player will now spend money on it, in order to keep it (if he need that at all). After at least 50yrs of play, the goverment will start declaring existing buildings to be "historical" thus adding more of them in the game. This can be a random event in the game and can be switched on/off before the game started in the menu.
As for the design - they don't have to something specific or based on real buildings. It can be just 1 design at all, as long as is recognisable on the map. Also they can be limited to 4 plots at all times.
