any way to survive in the competition with high level AI

Post by bycomet »

In the cases when difficulty rating is higher than 200%, AI have more cash/capital than mine(10 times or higher), and AI expertise level is high and their willingness to competition. All classes of product have 2 or more AI are engaged in.
Given above setting, even if my product quality is higher than AI's, AI can spend more cash in advertising, thus their overall product rating is not lower than mine. What's more, AI can bear huge loss for a long time because of their abundant cash, price war is what I need to avoid.
if there any solution to the dilemma?

I play at 200%+ and the best advice is to run your business, if you need to price where your overall is 0 or 10 do it, it may take longer to gain sales volume but as long as you making a profit everything will work out. build stores, vertically integrate. I have done no advertising and i've notice I start gaining organic branding which is cool. I have constant r and d going and overall tike things will work I also immediately open stores in every city to scale and so that I can get good locations.

so mind your business and everything should work out, even if you are at 10% of the product market you could have more profit then the AI

200% difficulty is not that much, dont think i was ever below 300% in my settings and its still easy to deal with the A.I.s and i tend to start with $5m and never take loans
in cap lab, range branding does actually work quite well .. stick to a product range and town if ya small and dont waste a penny in advertisement. brand gonna go up quickly (if your quality is below average you gonna earn negative brand loyality which will slow the brand building quite a lot, which will be cleared out and go positive once you are above city overall quality and overall product rating is matching city product overall rating, easily brand rating of 50 within 5 years by livestock i.e. with training on maximum on all farms) if ya spend all ya cash in setting up shops to resell A.I. stuff / seaport stuff you gonna strand as the A.I.s gonna jump on any supply availible in game ... only way is the "do it all yaself" from scratch and keep internal sale on as even the seaport stuff gonna be totally overstretched within the 1st year of the game and seaport + A.I. production is too instable to invest into it as you gonna have to raise the raise from scratch everytime you have to change supplier which in worsest case can drive ya nuts for running red numbers because you switch every year and price is that high that you gonna sell heavily under overall product rating and gonna take ya few years to raise the sales to earn a penny, hence you cant get into black numbers before supply stops. ;p

A.I.'s arent as smart as a human player (wish they were) therefore they can start with 150 times more cash then you and you still gonna grow in a few years to a size that ya bigger then them as they are not very smart.
for start you could stick to the easy farming stuff (livestock) will generate constant profit and keep all farms on maximum training to raise quality asap will bring ya in couple of ingame years easily $500m anual profit. keep going with that until 100m expanses a year for 20 r&d centres is just pocket change, thats what ya gonna need if ya got 40 companies with big cash against ya to catch up on their crazy research mania.
