Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta version 10.0.10 patch is now available

Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta version 10.0.10 patch is now available for download at:
https://caplab.b-cdn.net/CB10010.zip

This patch must be applied on top of version 10.0.00 or later. If you haven't installed it, please download the full version 8.2.00 installer viewtopic.php?t=9471

Then extract the ZIP file to your post-release Beta version of Capitalism Lab program folder. You can open your Capitalism Lab program folder by right-clicking on the Capitalism Lab Post-release Beta game icon and select “Properties”, then select “Open File Location” to open the folder.

Version 10.0.10
Fixed a crash bug caused by removing farm extensions.
Bug fix: if I refuse a raise for my CEO they don't always resign but sometimes they are disappointed in me. But there appears to be no attitude consequences. viewtopic.php?p=41222#p41222
Improved the Inventory Unit stock display when the number is too large.
The minimum market capitalization required for an IPO is now $10 million.

Version 10.0.09
Your executives may voluntarily reduce their salaries if their attitudes towards you is good.

Enhanced this: When selecting a product to link to an Export Firm, it now only shows products that can be exported by the selected export deal.

Bug fix: Can set the budget of an export company I don't control

Improved the interface for negotiating with executives asking for salary raises. Now you can offer less salaries than the requested amounts and your executives may continue to work for you if their attitudes towards you are good enough.

Fixed a bug with the error message RESXL.CPP.

Fixed the following bugs:
If you build or remove a farm extension, the land use planning stays on screen permanently until you reload the game

Trying to disable watch category on the new game settings menu gives an error.

Added help buttons on the Person Expertise screen explaining the effect of each type of expertise.

Gameplay Balance Improvements:
The knowledge points from the revenue goal rewards from the Entrepreneurial goal set has been reduced from 5 to 3.

CEOs of your subsidiaries generated in the beginning of the game will have salaries.

C-suite executives will ask for higher salaries when the company’s profits are higher.

The salaries of executives without any skills have been significantly reduced when they are running profitable subsidiaries for you. This also applies to executives helping you to run your company.

AI CEO persons will give themselves a small salary even if their companies are not profitable.

(You can use the Executive Salary Modifier under the Subsidiary DLC page of the New Game Setup menu, or a script, to lower their salaries if you find the salaries too high. )

Ad-hoc bug fix for the new interface for using knowledge points for increasing expertise.

To improve gameplay balance, each corporation is limited to building only two export companies. If one corporation merges with another and both have export companies, the export firms will be retained, allowing the corporation to operate more than two export companies.

The interface for using knowledge points for increasing expertise has been improved.

When linking an export product from an export firm, the interface will now only list products from firms under the same company.

Bug fix: when you focus product on the university and the university is disabled("Full or Partial Operation" bar on 0) you still get the benefits of the focus without spending money!

For some Windows desktop resolutions, new display scaling options are available in full screen borderless windowed mode, addressing the issue of small text that is difficult to read.

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug where service products can be added to export companies.

Fixed a bug with the error message F_export.cpp line 438. (please note that a new game must be started in order for the bug fix to take effect.)

Fixed the bug which is that the Script for E-Commerce does not recognise “Very High”

Fixed the bug which prevented the game from generating city population goals.

Fixed the bug which is that knowledge points are not deducted when establishing an import.

Script lines for the Export Company feature:

Export Company=<Yes, No>
Disable the Export Company feature.

Export Deal Duration=<1 to 10>
Set the duration of all export deals to a specific number of years.

Export Volume Modifier=<10 to 300>
Modify the volumes of all export transactions. 100 is the standard value.


Version 10.0.02
Improved the dual Information Center window mode where the filters you set in the Product Summary window will be applied to the Product Detail window if it is opened at the same time. You can use “Next” and “Previous” buttons on the Product Detail window to browse the products based on the filters you set in the Product Summary window.

Fixed the bug that led to “Error on File : C:\CLsrc\sysinit.cpp Line: 141” for some display configurations.

Fixed a bug related to building landmarks.

Fixed a bug related to acquiring a private company.

have installed version 10 - appears the game no longer starts paused, any reason this has been changed ?

just realised this many not be version 10 specific - if I start the game with no DLC enabled game doesn't start paused, if I start it with the 4 released dlc enabled it does start paused ?

I've forwarded this to the programmer and it will be updated in the next patch.

Hi David,
Just noticed something minor but good QOL change.
The '~' or '`' key for Pause reverted to old implementation of '0' for V10, against V9.
Can you please implement this to V10 again? :)
So far confirming the fixes involved on this version of 10.0.01.

Shares can be split into amounts of less than one ? buying 5% 5% 5% 5% left 3.38 shares ?

1 - Corporation - Firm Overview window appears to have been semi fixed in that it doesn't cut off buildings any more but it now only shows a max of 16 building types when more are possible ?

2 - The Internet Guide under the digital still crops off the left side of banner which could affect mods with custom banners.

3 - Has the auto goal you were given on founding a city been removed ? if you pick no goals now, you never appear to get a goal for city population and so are locked out of landmarks and the talent points. Even if you choose the found a city goal, the goal completes when the city is founded and no population goal appears ? I know you were going to reduce the frequency but it has now been removed altogether?

4 - When found a City the 2 dates for the term as mayor are not always the same

5 - Is there any reason some buildings have to be built next to roads and some do not, for instance R&D Labs do not, yet software cannot ?

6 - the game doesnt seem to build insurance companies, if i set up a sub and build the insurance HQ, it never builds any branches.

7 - i like the option to filter in the stock exchange company list, can the same options be added for the window below it so you can filter a company by who owns most stock etc
