Suggestion: Brand of semiproducts carry over

Post by mwyeoh »

I believe a good improvement would be if the brand of a semiproduct partially carries over to the finished product.
The carryover amount should be the same as the amount the raw material quality carries over.

Eg- Notebook computer. 20% of the CPU brand, 10% of the electronic components brand and 2% of the plastic's brand would carry over to the Notebook computer's brand

This would simulate the competition between nvidia, intel, AMD, etc (Since their brand names mean alot in the real world but nothing in Capitalism 2)
And when do we not see a laptop promoting which CPU or graphics card they have
Or a clothing range which does not promote which fabric they use
Or a meat or milk company not promoting "locally sourced" goods
All of these increase the branding and perception of the goods being provided

However if this is the case, "semi products" would need to be broken down further to reduce the effectiveness of range branding
(Eg- Semiproducts:Food, Semiproducts:Fabric, Semiproducts: Electronic, Semiproducts:Manufactured/Metal?Welded, Semiproducts:Bottled/Packaged, etc)

Also Advertising would need to be added to mines, logging camps and wells (They are already in farms and factories for no apparent reason)

This would also increase the profitability of media firms

The brand would not affect the material quality
